Meet Quintrace…
Data Driven Decarbonization
intrace exemplifies industry leadership in carbon accounting software through its innovative approach to real-time carbon footprint monitoring. Quintrace implements hourly accounting methods, offering a precise representation of carbon impact, expanding upon the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and meeting the growing demand for zero-emission electricity by corporations and governments.
Quintrace is the first application to implement EnergyTag’s hourly tracking standards for batteries, a groundbreaking achievement that has been covered by Canary Media. This significant contribution to the development and implementation of the EnergyTag standard enables battery operators to showcase renewable energy time-shifting through batteries, enabling provable green 24x7 claims using batteries for the first time. Additionally, Quintrace helps track Scope 1, Scope 2 and avoided carbon emissions considering battery activity, all at an hourly level, providing a granular view of environmental impact. Quintrace also allows organizations to aggregate carbon emissions from multiple sites to the organizational level, offering a holistic perspective of an organization’s carbon footprint.
Quintrace empowers users to determine their hourly carbon positions, facilitating strategic decisions on buying or selling certificates (For example, selling certificates onto upcoming marketplaces such as LevelTen Energy's granular certificate trading platform). This includes the ability to track hourly PPAs, and integrate with registries to streamline the creation and transfer of certificates.
The system helps users determine how to get to Net Zero through a combination of adding simulated assets (e.g., adding a battery to a site) and/or identifying precisely which hours you need to have renewable certificates to achieve a certain carbon intensity goal or renewable percentage goal, aligning with major corporations' hourly energy matching objectives for 2030.
Quintrace's innovative solutions and unwavering commitment to granular carbon accounting make it a standout contender for The Best Carbon Accounting Software Award, driving the industry towards a more sustainable future.
